TRAIL DESCRIPTION

UTE Valley Park, located within the city limits (North-West Side) of Colorado Springs, is another "premo" Parks and Recreation maintained park. It's open to hikers & bikers. It's very popular place to walk or ride when you don't have much time! This park is very scenic, full of trees, rock formations and rolling meadows. There are only a few combinations of trails so you don't have to worry about getting lost. This is a great place to learn how to Mountain Bike. It has a few technical spots, but they are very short in duration. You may have to take a few laps around the park to fill up a hours worth of ride time. We usually ride from the MCI parking lot so we have to go up and down FLYING W RANCH road, which is a workout by it self.

TRAIL DIRECTIONS

  • Take exit 149 off of I-25
  • Head west on Woodmen Rd
  • Continue straight on Rockrimmon Rd (where Woodmen Rd turns right at the light)
  • Turn right on Vindicator and go past the SafeWay shopping center
  • 0.3 miles past EAGLEVIEW Middle School, there will be a small parking lot on the left.
