TRAIL DESCRIPTION
Palmer Park, located within the city limits of Colorado Springs, is a 500+ acre Parks and Recreation maintained park. It's open to bikers, hikers, and horses. It's a very popular place! Palmer Park is loaded with all levels of trails, from beginner to expert. I have never seen a good trail map of the park, but you can get a general overview from the Parks & Rec headquarters. This park is very scenic, full of trees, rock formations and sage meadows. There are unlimited combinations of trails you could form to make your own favorite rides. Eric and I usually ride 1 to 2 times a week after work (when the weather is nice) because it's easy to get to and we can take a different route each time. We have nicknames for some of the more difficult trails (i.e. riderless rock, rocky-road, rim trail, etc).
